How the InBody H20 Works

The InBody H20 uses multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to provide a fast, safe, and detailed breakdown of your body composition. In less than a minute, you’ll receive data on:

  • Body fat percentage
  • Lean body mass
  • Basal metabolic rate (BMR) – your daily calorie burn at rest
  • InBody Type classification (such as “D-type”) – based on the relationship between muscle mass and body weight

The D-type profile, for instance, is commonly seen in individuals who have a higher ratio of muscle to total weight, even if they weigh more than average. This classification helps recognize healthy, fit body types that standard BMI charts often misrepresent.
