Yoga is a dynamic system of postures and breathing exercises and is accessible to all, from beginners to advanced students. Yoga is intended to open, strengthen and relax the entire body while building strength and flexibility. It also makes us more aware of our breath, which ultimately helps to relax and calm the body and mind. People who practice regularly often notice that they are happier, have better focus, and are more able to handle the stresses of everyday life
Yoga has taught Heather so much more than physical postures. It has taught her to be more compassionate to herself and others, the value of mindfulness, the power of intention and the deep understanding that breath will always guide and ground her.
Heather has been practicing Yoga since 2004 and teaching since 2008. She was first trained in Moksha (Now Modo) Yoga (Hot Yoga) and then went on to become certified in Yoga Flow, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga as well as Kids Yoga.
Heather is also registered as an RP(Q) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and holds her masters-level diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
Heather continues to discover new insights as she develops her practice and encourages others to step onto their mats with an open heart to experience the many offerings of yoga.
